THREAD GAGE CALIBRATION:

Johnson Thread-View Systems utilizes our non-contact, fully automated system for the calibration of thread work plugs and thread set plugs at our in-house laboratory. Full-form certifications are generated for all gages. The range of sizes that can be measured are .060” to 5.00” in diameter for UNIFIED, Metric, and Special threads.

2. AUTOMATED MEASUREMENT & CERTIFICATION PROCESSES - By removing the human element from the measurement process, the system has eliminated the sources for human error. Previous contact measurement procedures were prone to human error due to inconsistencies with wires, micrometers, gage blocks, anvil pressure, and operator bias. In addition, our easy-to-read calibration certificates are automatically generated, eliminating the possibility for human transcription errors.

RAPID TURN-AROUND TIME - The system’s cycle time to generate a full-form calibration for all thread plug gages is less than 2-minutes, allowing a drastic reduction in the time required to calibrate each gage compared to traditional calibration house procedures. Our typical turnaround time upon receipt of your gages, is less than 3 days.
   
   
4. SIGNIFICANT DOLLAR SAVINGS - Our certification pricing, in many cases, is less expensive than the incomplete certifications offered by other calibration houses. Furthermore, in many cases, traditional contact measurement procedures will reject conforming gages that would not have been rejected on the Model 3620 due to the accuracy of the system.

FULL-FORM CERTIFICATIONS (click here for more information) - Typical calibration houses do not have the time or the equipment to provide the proper measurements for all required characteristics per ASME, Federal, Commercial, and ISO standards. In contrast, the Model 3620 provides actual numeric values for all required characteristics per ASME, Federal, and ISO specifications.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Incomplete, or short-form substandard calibration certifications for thread set plugs or work plugs can permit the improper setting of gages, or the improper inspection of internal threads.
